Dinner at Ketchup

I thought that it would be a good idea to have dinner somewhere nice for Elena's promotion. I invited some of the girl cousins to have dinner at Ketchup in West Hollywood. Elena, Gaby, Jessica, Nancy, Manfred (I know he's not one of the girl cousins but anyway) and Me had dinner there last night. I picked Ketchup because of the connection with The Hills. This is the restaurant that Audrina and Justin went on a date to, the restaurant that Lauren and Brody ran into Heidi and Spencer, when Heidi sent them a drink! You have to watch The Hills to know what the heck I'm talking about. Anyhow, it's on the popular Sunset strip in West Hollywood so I was hoping to run into celebrities, especially because it was a Wed. night and we know celebrities party on that day. They are too good to party on weekends with the rest of the normal people. Right away Gaby spotted one of the Sister Sister (either Tia or Tamara). She was having dinner directly in front of us. We, of course, did not make a big deal and played it off as if we always had dinner next to celebrities. Jessica said that Alejandra was going to be soooooooo jealous! Then I spotted one of the owners of the Dolce Group, the one that went on Millionaire Matchmaker. The A-hole that couldn't get a date. Well, he is short, fat and balding. I was super excited to see him since I couldn't stop talking about him after the show. Actually, Cathy, Manfred and Me could not stop hating him after the show. I hate him so much that I like him. I think its a Hiedi thing. My food and Nancy's food sucked! Nancy had the 2 mini hotdogs (shown in the picture) and I had the Veggie or Tofu burger (I was trying to be cheap and healthy but backfired on me). My Martini also sucked butt. Gaby had the best plate; Sloppy Joe! Jessica had a really good salad, Elena had a chicken plate which she liked and Manfred had a steak. They serve 5 different types of Ketchup: Honey, Chipotle, Ranch, Maple, and regular in these tiny square cups. They also have 3 different types of fries that they serve as appetizers: Garlic fries, Sweet Potato Fries and some other fries. They were YUMMY!
We sat right underneath the Heinz Ketchup picture (shown in picture). It was a "cool" atmosphere. Jessica called it "Hip". We really enjoyed it. After dinner we went kinda sightseeing. We drove by Le Deux and Boa. It was cool! Thanks cousins. Next time we are having dinner at Mr. Chows; another 10x more frequented celebrity restaurant. I think that right now that we are young and can go to places like these, we should take advantage of it! Just to say, "hey, I had dinner there and saw _________".

2008 Lakers Playoff Game: Game 2

This was all a last minute thing!
I went to the Laker game on Friday.  We had a nice couch in the Platinum VIP, right above the restaurant. It was pretty bad-ass. If they make it to the finals we will once more enjoy ourselves in the lap of luxury (well, somewhat "luxury", it's actually pretty plain).

HELP ADEEDODOO PAY FOR HER COLLEGE!

Hi Family,

You can help me pay for school and it won't cost you a dime!

I have activated a Upromise link to my school loan lender (SallieMae) to help me pay my school loans. What this does is every time I use a credit/debit card (that I have registered) at certain stores/restaurants/gas stations etc. a small percentage goes into paying off my school debt. I sent some of you an e-mail inviting you to participate and help me with my debt.

All you have to do is register your credit/debit card, use it, and I will start earning money.

If you would like to help, please e-mail me your current e-mail to adeevaldez@yahoo.com and I will send you the link.

Thanks and remember, I owe over 3 figures and I come from a very poor family :)

-Adeedodoo hopes to hear from you soon

Sunday Mother's Day BBQ

This is how it all went down yesterday:
  • Rubber-Toe took over Daddy's shoes and cooked the Carne Asada while Gerardo passed out the latest Playboy issue to the cousins sitting at the table that were swallowing chips and salsa.
  • Tola washed the dishes.
  • Sira spent more than an hour on the phone trying to convince Lola to come over after she had a bad day with her husband.
  • Lola and Jeanie fell: Lola fell walking up the stairs to the kitchen and Jeanie didn't see the chair in front of her and tumbled over. Apparently this was not Lola's first fall, she claims to have bit the dust walking out of church that same day and swears up and down that no one saw her. But WE SURE did see (and heard) her fall at the bbq. Jeanie said she hit the pavement HARD! Too bad we didn't see that one.
  • No alcohol involved in neither incident.
  • Tola washed the dishes.
  • Gaby brought over the tinniest cheesecake ever and every single person wanted some.
  • Omar came over and spent the entire day with us.
  • Tola washed more dishes.
  • Elena showed off her new purse.
  • Cathy was wearing table cloth shoes that fit Rubber-Toe.
  • We found hairs in the pasta salad and the green salad; neither hair belonged to Milo or Kenny.
  • Tola washed even more dishes.
  • Cecy got Parenting 101
  • Rubber-Toe took a dump-load of pictures that he claims he will put up soon.
  • Apparently no mom got any fancy-pants Mother's Day gifts.
  • Jeanie had the BESTESSES Mother's Day ever as her hubby surprised her with a gift and 2 cards for the first time in 13-years.
  • Chirsty and her baby were in attendance.
  • I ate over the recommended 2,000 calorie per day...maybe over 4,000 calories.
  • Tola washed all the dishes before heading back to Palm Springs.

On May 7, 2008 Mariela asked:

I have always wondered, why did you name Kenny, Kenny?

Well Mariela. As I laid on my bed thinking of what to name my new dog I was watching South Park and thought that naming Kenny after Kenny (“They killed Kenny again) would be nice and then right after my brilliant thought, a man named Kenneth came on TV (I forgot why) and I took it as a sign. Thanks for caring about K-Dog!

On May 7, 2008 Anonymous asked:

What school do you think you should have gone too? How long did it take you to complete general ed and transfer from PCC?

Well Anonymous, I NEVER in a million years did I EVER think that I would end up in graduate school, much less at USC! It took me approximately 8 years to complete my general ED at PCC (LOL. No joke!) and then decided that I needed to move on and ended up at UCSB. Ummm, a year after I graduated UCSB I decided that I wanted to see if I could get into grad school and applied to USC. My intentions were never to go to grad school; it was more to see if I could get in. And hey, guess what? I got in. So I decided to attend without realizing the cost of it. At the end, I think it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made! Although I have over a six figure debt I am proud to carry such a prestigious debt…

Side Note: Questions do not have necessarily be about me. But I likes.

Mi Opinion

On May 6, 2008 Rubber Toe asked:

Why do patients need therapy? What do you talk to them about? Do they talk about anything they want?

Well Rubber Toe, clients (not patients) have a variety of mental health issues that lead to dysfunctional behavior or a decrease in their ability to do their daily living activities (cook, clean, go to work, wipe their ass right). Their mental health problems might have to do with drug use, being sexually abused, family problems…you get the point. So my job is to figure out the underlying problem and help them understand how it is affecting them. I change people’s distorted thoughts and encourage them to do better. I only spend 50 minutes 1x per week for maybe 6 t0 9 months with clients. But it’s a little more complicated than this. Do you need a Masters degree to do this? YES. Was it worth going to USC for this? NO. Why? Because I am paying more on my loans than I will make in my entire life!!!!

On May 7, 2008 Geefunk asked:

Do you have to wear heels and a suit to your new job?

Hell nah! But I do like to wear heels to work. No suit. We are not allowed to go very professional or dressed up with bling because of the population we serve. At most agencies employees are very casual. They encourage this and discourage the professional look because then our clients won’t be able to build that necessary relationship that is needed in therapy because they might see us as sell outs or too good to understand their issues. I don’t even wear my Tiffany jewelry because of that. My wardrobe is very H & M and Fashion 21 Oriented with expensive shoes!

On May 7, 2008 Anonymous asked:

So why is it that dog’s paws smell like Doritos?

I’m glad you asked. The same moldy bacteria and fungus that grows underneath the dogs paws after months (or years) of not cleaning them is the same type of ingredients used to make Cheesy Doritos.

Got a Question? Just Ask Adeedodoo

I have decided that I will start my own section on this blog called: Ask Adeedoodo! It will be so L.A. Times like Dear Abby (did I get that right?). E-mail me at adeevaldez@yahoo.com with your burning question and I will post the question on this blog with my answer. Questions can be of any kind such as :

Why do dog paws smell like Doritos?

Is it true that your mom found "drugs" in your room when you were in high school (DISCLAIMER: Kids, this is just a pretend question)?

My husband beats me every night and tells me he does it because he loves me. Is this okay?

Any questions please send them to me and I will have the most up to date researched answers!

My section will be called "MI OPINION"

True or False? Is Christy Going to Iraq?

It has been rumored that Christy has been told that she will be serving in Iraq sooner than later. Sources close to her say that she does not want to go and that she will make all attempts in her power to stay in the U.S. So what are the options she is looking at? Pregnancy. According to sources close to her, Christy will attempt to get pregnant once again to not be sent to Iraq. What do you guys think? Is this just a rumor or is this seriously what is going on? And if in fact its true, what are your opinions?

For Shits and Giggles

I guess people have been slacking on posting blogs. Well I don't have much to say about people but I have a lot to say about me. As some of you know, Friday the 16th I will be walking. I seriously thought about not attending my own graduation but I just don't want to regret it later on. I have six tickets and only 3 guest, which means I have 3 tickets left. If any of you would like to attend the 10am (or 11am) ceremony let me know.

My last day of class was last Thursday. I have a good 3 weeks off before I start my new job. New job you ask? Why, yes. I am hired by St. Francis Medical Center to do outpatient therapy. It's very professional as I will be sitting in my own office.

Yes, 3 weeks is a lot of time doing nothing. But I have been very productive as I have attempted to go out almost every night. LOL. No, but seriously, I am bored. This past weekend I had dinner at Dolce on Melrose. Awesome place. Very celebrity. I had fun up until I got the bill. Word of caution: Always look at the prices when ordering seafood. After dinner I decided I wanted to go to Le Deux. If you guys are not familiar with Le Deux then you're just not with it! Anyway, we thought it was a good night to go since celebrities only party on Tuesdays and Wednesdays so we figured we would be able to get in. We get to this club and first of all its all hidden in back of a parking lot right next to Element and Pig n a Whistle (Further performed there). Second, we are the second "party" to get there and we start making line, as everybody else who is arriving. They said they open at 10pm. BILLSHIT! They open whenever the hell they want to. I think it was close to 11pm when they decided to let people in. Anyway, by 10:40pm they announce that there is no line and that people needed to gather along the fence. So what they do is hand pick who they want in. Well, we were the only Mexicans there and after 10 minutes passed by we were not the only Mexicans but we were the only one's standing outside trying to get in!!! LOL. Yeah so we left and ended up at Sugar. With a name like that I'm sure you know what kind of place that was!

So yeah, that's my exciting story of the week. Nothing special eh?

I know my posts are detailed and tedious at times to read but who cares...read on.

On Sunday I went with Helen and Lola to the Beverly Center as Helen was to embark on a very expensive purchase. She bought an ASS-some LV purse. I won't say how much but I think we all know it was over what we can all afford. I high-fived her for her fabulous purchased. Lola got the pleasure of carrying the purchased item as we walked to other stores and she was so nervous that she would lose it or someone would snatch it from her. Hahahaha. Later on that day I had Panda Express which left my behind feeling like Niagara Falls.

On another more serious note. I spent 12 of my precious hours at the Huntington Hospital on Saturday. My mom has been having severe back problems and we finally went to the ER and found out she has a fractured spine. We have not figured out what to do because she does not have insurance nor a doctor who can refer her to Orthopedics for a back brace...any suggestions?

I just gave Kenny and Milo a bath. Kenny hummed like stale shit and blood.

Okay well, cousins, aunts and uncles. I shall keep you guys posted on my exciting 3 weeks.
