- Our Abuelita got her nail (notice it's not plural) done in red for the first time in her life. (Thanks Nancy, next time paint the remaining 9 other nails)
- Robert used to call Hortencia "Renta".
- We have a breast cancer survivor in the family (ATTENTION ALL FEMALES: do a self breast exam every day if possible).
- Cathy broke her leg roller skating when she was young.
- Lupito owned the license plate "Tila 98" in memory of our great grandmother. I vividly remember her playing the toy guitar, walking aimlessly out on the streets and getting a bath as she sat in a chair)
- Hortenc use to drive a Pinto bean.
- Elena was born on the freeway.

OMG! You should have seen how "Gonzalez" my mom and tia Silvia got about painting G-ma's nails! We wanted to do them all but they wouldn't allow her to have some fun. Pobre. She really liked it too.
